David Stephen Powell studied at the Royal College of Music and at Surrey University. He was a freelance trombonist in London but now lives in Italy. He has composed and arranged professionally for theatre, tv, and radio, including the BBC Big Band, Eartha Kitt, and The Discovery Chanel. He was a finalist in the Vivian Ellis Prize for New Musicals.
